Our Story
A Legacy Built on Hope and Hard Work
The Taylor Institute was born from a simple but powerful belief: that where you start should never determine where you end up. Our founder saw firsthand how financial barriers were shutting promising young people out of higher education — and decided to do something about it.
What began as a single scholarship award has grown into a comprehensive support network serving students across North Carolina. We offer scholarships, career mentorship, professional skills training, and community programming — all designed to create lasting change.
Today, The Taylor Institute is committed to expanding opportunity for every graduating senior in North Carolina, with a vision to reach students across the entire continental United States.

Our Journey
Milestones & Impact
2018
The Taylor Institute was established and provided its first scholarship.
2020
Launched the Career Development Program, serving 50 participants in its first year.
2026
Launched its official website and branched out to all students graduating in the State of North Carolina.
2028
In our tenth year, will be expanding to all students graduating in the continental United States.
2028
In our tenth year, will introduce five additional scholarships and maybe more!
